Ayurvedic
Massage is an
ancient Indian form of hands on healing, which uses herbal oils and
herbal powders as medicine. It is a natural method of relaxing,
cleansing and totally rejuvenating the human body and mind. Ayurvedic
massage helps the heart to circulate blood and stimulates the Marma the
energy points. This provides more oxygen, glucose, proteins and other
vitalizing elements for the tissues and organs. The movements and
techniques used follow the growth of the body. They assist in opening
the joints and increasing flexibility. This allows the Prana or life
force energy to move freely, restoring the balance throughout the body.
In short, Ayurvedic massage is for both mental and physical wellbeing.
It fine tunes the body and mind and purifies the blood. Through our
experience at Amrita we developed eight levels of massage. Each
separate module uses different techniques moving deeper into the human
body for better integrative rebalancing. This powerful series of
massage opens and strengthens all systems of the body. We provide you a
book and video to help your training. When you register with us, we
will provide you a book and video in advance to prepare your training.

General Full Body Massage Duration 60 to 75 Min.

stimulating massage for robust health. It opens the entire body,
naturally improving circulation and opening all joints. In this module
you will learn to give an hour-long massage. By mastering this module,
you could learn the other modules very easily. All the remaining
modules use base movements of this massage. Also Head massage, Face
massage and Abdomen massages are the same for all the other modules.
Massage for muscles Duration 75 to
90 Min.
This
massage is
focused
primarily on lengthening and relaxing the muscles of the shoulders
neck, spine and legs. The massage movements are quite heavy and
therapist needs to have firm grounding before giving this massage. It
works directly on the muscle tissues. In this massage, we use some body
postures to release the muscles from its roots. The entire body is
given fresh oxygen and blood flow, as stimulating strokes increase
circulation.
Massage for joints Duration 60 to 75 Min.
This
massage
focuses on
the two major joints of the body the hip and shoulder joints. Strong
movements with knuckles, free adhesions to these joints and stretches
the surrounding ligaments. In this massage, we use few body postures to
release hip joint and shoulder joint from the spine. Spine itself
massaged separately from both sides in side lying posture and helps in
removing stiffness and improving the posture and grace of the body.
Massage with feet Duration 45 to 60
Min.
A
strong massage
given
with the feet is the main part of this treatment. In this massage
divided in to seven stages, pressure is applied while adjusting and
controlling the body weight of the therapist in a systematic way. This
is a deep form of massage that works very deeply into the muscles and
the joints, as a result of which one would feel completely relaxed.
Releasing almost all blocks from the muscles is one of the great
benefits of this massage. One needs to take a minimum of ten sessions
like this to have total rebalancing. Strength and flexibility are
greatly improved through this massage.
Massage with stretching Duration 75
to 90 Min.
This
massage
method
involves a combination of stretching techniques with vibration to
regain its natural balance and natural posture and alignment of the
body. Shaking and vibrating the body parts is the main technique used
in this massage. This could result in proper posture of sitting,
standing, walking, and sleeping. Most body problems that occur are also
through bad body posture.
Massage for skin and ligaments Duration 60 to 75
Min.
Specific
techniques, such
as rolling of the skin, break adhesions, allowing the skin and muscles
to glide with ease. Through these warming movements to the skin, toxins
are easily flushed out from the skin and provide a relaxed good look to
the skin. The body is given flexibility to return to its natural state
of fluid energy and graceful movement
Massage for inner organs Duration 45
to 50 Min.
Dynamic
breathing
techniques with massage stimulate proper organ function through
flushing the system of the body with fresh blood and oxygen. The inner
organs are compressed wringing out toxins and trapped air to restore
balance.
Massage for mental tension Duration
45 to 50 Min.
Blocked
energy
is
released, increasing the vitality and uplifting the emotions. In this
massage, a special breathing technique is given with meditative care.
Releasing of all tensions is the main focus of this treatment.
Encouraging, soothing and leading a person to purification is the
outcome of this technique. Blocked energy is released, increasing
vitality and uplifting emotions. Difference between modules Each person
has his / her own imbalances in the body. This series helps to
completely rebalance the body in a systematic way. The first model is a
general full body massage, which increases circulation and gently opens
the joints. The second model primarily focuses on the muscles and the
third model on the joints. The fourth model is a deep tissue massage
given with feet, including stretching and the fifth model opens the
connective tissues and ligaments. And the final model ends with massage
of the inner organs with breathing techniques. All models focus on the
whole body, yet each gives specific attention to different parts. This
is a creative series, which focuses on integrating each part of the
body with the whole.
